What is an Envirothon?
The Envirothon is an interactive educational opportunity for those students eager to learn more about Minnesota’s natural resources and current environmental topics. This competition includes five learning stations lead by agency professionals that are followed by a 25-point exam. The topics include Aquatics, Forestry, Soils, Wildlife, and Current Events (rotating topic). Students also prepare a presentation based on the current events scenario. The scores for each learning station and presentation are totaled to select the top 3 teams that will go on to compete at the State Envirothon.
